Attention interested Counselors!
CrossRoads Camp which begins July 18th is still in need of a few
counselors. This is a very rewarding job which allows you to be
a significant influence in the lives of young people. Our camp places strong emphasis on small
groups which creates a family atmosphere
and builds bonds of friendship between campers and between them and their counselors. This is so
rewarding for those of you who can
spare a week from your busy lives to be with these youth. We have a few slots open in the Sr High,
Jr High, and the Juniors age groups,
though the majority of open positions is with Jr High.
New OMC policy requires that Junior campers and Junior High
campers have a counselor berth in the room with the kids to
ensure that bullying is eliminated and everyone is given a good night's sleep. Senior High campers
will be in smaller rooms and do
not require a counselor with them.
Josh Bell will be the Director of this camp. Dannette Bean will be
the Senior High Coordinator, Josh Black will be Junior High Coordinator,
and Suzanne Dale will be the Junior Coordinator. Clay Boyd is the Assistant Director. If you are
interested or have any question,

Bell will be out of contact
much of the time at Craig Springs.

An Open Invitation:
The Members of First Christian Church in Hopewell, Virginia would like to offer an open invitation to any church groups wishing to
travel to this part of the state, and needing lodging, the use of our Youth Center (former parsonage) at no charge. Our Youth Center has
four bedrooms, large couches, kitchen, two bathrooms, one with shower. We could handle quite a large group if some used sleeping bags
and other beds. We are about thirty-five miles from Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Yorktown, and other places of interest.
Anyone interested please call our church office 804-458-6754 and leave your name and phone number. Someone will contact you to help with
arrangements.
