Meet The Staff
 Alisha Bennett, Manager of Operations:
Alisha is a member of Rocky Mount Christian Church and a long-time camper, counselor and
employee of Craig Springs. She will be in charge of staff oversight, booking retreats, and
the day-to-day operations of the camp. Alisha is an art teacher at William Fleming High
School in Roanoke, so her schedule is free during the summer camping season. Alisha says,
“I plan to act as the ‘go-to’ person at Craig Springs in order to help meet
the needs of individual camps and their directors. By lightening the load of our
Maintenance Manager and cross-training our residential staff, it is my aim to expedite the
many underlying processes that keep the camp running smoothly. Doing so will allow our
staff to focus on cabin renovation and campus upkeep. The help of volunteers and cabin
sponsors will be imperative to our success, so I encourage all supporters of Craig Springs
to participate not only in the Spring and Fall Work Weekends, but also during the summer

| Mary Jean Thurston -- In March, Mary Jean began her
second year as both one of our kitchen managers and as our off-season cleaning person.
Mary Jean enjoys using her computer and keeping up with friends and family by e-mail. |

| Mary Jane Lucas -- 2006 will mark Mary Jane's second
year on summer staff at Craig Springs. She is a student at Virginia Tech and has done just
about everything there is to be done maintenance-wise at Craig Springs. |

| B.J. Gradwell -- No stranger to Craig Springs, B.J.
has been a long-time camper, counselor, volunteer and "emergency helper" at
Craig Springs. B.J. joins the maintenance staff this summer to coordinate special projects
and use his considerable carpentry skills to keep the camp in good shape. He plans on
enrolling at Virginia Tech for Fall semester. |
